Lol what am I, her secretary? You tell her!
You see I elected to talk to you first because I know you'll replyyyyy. Liz takes awhile. I have to catch her at like the most opportune moments. When she's not eating or posting pictures of herself eating or of food. Which is like ALL THE TIME.
Clearly my sleep cycle is sadistic: I woke up today and was so tired I was going to skip class so I turned my alarm on to 2 hours later, but then I felt instantly awake. I guess it’s a good thing I didn’t skip since my professor took attendance today.
I went home to take a two hour nap between classes; stupid daylight savings is screwing me over right now.
My support group meeting only had one mother, so Mary let me go early, and told me to take her home baked cookies with me. God they’re so good.
Finally dragged myself to the gym >_> Let’s see how long this lasts.
Oh—you wouldn’t date a girl who’s ever been a stripper?
In that case, I wouldn’t date a guy who’s ever been to a strip club.
Oh—you wouldn’t date a girl who’s ever done porn?
In that case, I wouldn’t date a guy who’s ever watched porn.
You’re the reason we exist.
You’re the demand to our supply.
If you disdain sex workers, don’t you dare consume our labor.
As they say in the industry, “People jack off with the left hand and point with the right.”

Anonymous asked: I've noticed your recent posts are of Orlando! I'm from there! Are you from O-town too?
Yes I am! Lol 407~
Spring Break. A Summary.
Day 54 - Drove down to Orlando and was greeted with banh bao and boba tea - yum. Just a par-for-the-course Sunday.
Day 55 - Pretty much did nothing except for watch SVU, go to the library, and eat candy. For some reason there is an abundance of chocolate in my house.
Day 56 - Hung out with Di Ut, who had the day off. We tried a new restaurant instead of going to Pho Vinh, like we always do.
Day 57 - Drove up to Gainesville with Thu - she really wanted Reggae Shack so we had lunch there, and then got some Lollicup. (This was like, my third boba tea in about as many days…so fat…). Honestly, there wasn’t much we really wanted to do, so we packed up her books that are all over my place, and then went to the mall. On the way home, I remembered that I always wanted to explore Micanopy, so we probably should have done that ://
Day 58 - Thuy came home today~ I couldn’t hang out with her for long because I had dinner plans with Mary. Afterwards, we unpacked the PS2 and played Tekken.
Day 59 - Went to the Flea Market about an hour from Orlando; I forget where. The three of us got mired in one of the tents buying DVDs so Mom and Dad kind of wandered away from us, and we ended up having to speed walk around for an hour trying to find them. It reminded of me when we would go to Walmart after dinner (whoo! my family does not want for much) and would lose each other in the aisles. We never used the PA systems,so we’d resort to yelling for each other and guessing games. Fun. fun day. I love flea markets. We watched some of the Animatrix later (hurray, I finally own it!) and Death Proof. Also we taught Mom how to play Blockus but she was being reallllly polite and refused to expand her territory, despite us telling her that’s how you win.
Day 61 - Had to wake up at 6:30 to see Thu off to the airport. I slept in until 12, which was a shock but Mom was being nice since I had to drive today.
What an amazing day to drive: the weather was a perfect example of how spring should be, with little or no traffic the whole way. Later, I managed to work out for the first time in three weeks…? And luckily I didn’t have any assignments to do over break, so nothing on that front. I just felt anxious this whole break thinking about the things I had to do. Sigh, have to start planning for the future, especially since I got some sobering news about school. I don’t really want to think about it, but that’s the worst way to approach this.
Also my phone screen shattered (!) so I have to fix that. That’s one of the reasons I completely avoided internet this whole break and so missed any messages and whatnot. The other reason being that I really hate using social media over break.
Woke up early and started planning an outing to the gun range. Being sluggish college students, it took us all three or four hours to get it together and finally leave. My co’s and mentee and I were there earlier than the others so we played Blockus in the trunk of my car :3
Man, shooting was really scary but really exhilarating at the same time. I shot the handgun before the rifle, and that was probably the wrong thing to do, since the recoil was so much stronger and I didn’t have my hand on the grip. My immediate instinct was to drop it, but luckily I didn’t. The rifle was a lot easier to control, but definitely not as powerful. I have this feeling that I could come to be a good shooter if I could practice. I really enjoyed it, that’s for damn sure.
Afterwards, we were hungry and stopped in at Adam’s Rib Company -man that place is soo good, and super filling. It may look super sketch on the outside, but it’s really nicely decorated and homey on the inside. Barbecue and guns - if only we had some beers, we would have really felt Amurrican.
We went back to Gainesville Place to watch the Bee Movie (which absolutely sucked of course) and play Mario Party. And then more Mario Party. And then Mario Party-college student style >_>
Drove home around 3:30, and promptly passed out. Really good day ^___^
Drug class hadn’t been canceled unfortunately, so I still had to wake up early. My sexuality class had been though, so at least I got to leave early.
I didn’t really have anything to do, so I decided to go shopping and splurge a little bit - not by much haha, I only spent about $15.
I wanted to swing by Midnight Cookies to talk to them since they never answer my calls or emails, but the place was closed…Starting to think I’m never going to be able to get in contact with them >_>
Little invited me to a potluck afterwards, so that was fun~ We played a lot of Mario Party…and things got heated - my throat was scratchy from all of the screaming. Fun night though ^_^
Unfortunately, as I was driving home and approaching the roundabout, a car coming in from the opposite direction got cocky (impatient?) and thought they could speed past me, even though they are clearly supposed to yield to me. I missed a really bad collision by literally a foot. It was a big SUV too, so I’m pretty sure my engine would have gotten smashed.
I felt a little shaky after that but at least that was the end to the night…
Took my foundations of health exam and it was easy! Yay. I found out later that I got over a 100 on my comm health exam, and A’s on my drug and sexuality exams, so I’m so relieved all that last minute cramming worked.
No rest for me though, because I had to go volunteer. I’m starting to do two hours every Thursday instead of my usual one. I worked with one kid who even asked me if I was going to come back the next day because I was really helping him ^_^ That made me feel pretty good to hear. Home then to hard-core clean my apartment. I hadn’t done laundry in too long, and my house hadn’t been cleaned in forever…
Then dinner with the usual crowd at La Tienda. I had the carne enchilada which was soo good. I’m excited about the idea of planned dinners, because it gives us all a chance to try new things and catch up. Sometimes, without CASA stuff, I think we kind of hermit up and wait too long to see each other.
Afterwards, I watched Submarine, a British coming-of-age film, and Alex Turner does the music. I really, like really enjoyed it and I might rewatch it soon.
Altogether a very good day ^_^
"If you were to give one piece of advice to a large group of people, what would it be?"
"Well, if you’d asked me a week ago, I’d say: ‘pay it forward.’ Now I’d say ‘be careful.’"
Took my drug, and my sexuality exam today - both were easy thank God. Exams 3 and 4 done with.
I went to the LLC afterwards to supposedly work on my Community Assessment project, but all the computers were taken, so I ended up studying alone and then with Liz (when she came in).
Then we ended up talking and getting something to eat for the next hour and a half. We were brainstorming places that we could all go to dinner tomorrow, but it’s very difficult to think of places that are vegan (or vegetarian), with good parking, not too far, not too expensive, and something new for once. Normally when I hear a place is twenty minutes away, I won’t think that’s far, but as soon as I’m in Gainesville, twenty minutes turns into a wilderness trek or something. We all settled for La Tienda instead; truly, we live on the edge.
Went to the CASA PDPsi forum at 6, which was really interesting. The speakers at the end really made it; otherwise, it would have been just a regular forum with people lecturing at you.
Home to study for one last exam - the home stretch is in sight :3 I keep thinking of the summer to motivate me now. I made up my mind to go to VA for at least a week - probably one of the weeks in between summer terms, but hopefully I can stay longer if classes permit.
